The landscapes of England and Wales are wonderfully diverse. From rugged mountain ranges and dramatic coastlines to rolling farmland and quiet valleys. My England and Wales collection showcases a rich diversity of landscapes from the rugged coastlines of Pembrokeshire, the gentle contours of the Cotswolds, the mist-shrouded Lake District, the rolling Yorkshire Dales and the misty valleys of Snowdonia and its mountains. These are landscapes often defined by the British weather, where soft morning light and rain can transform a familiar scene into something timeless and atmospheric. Within this body of work, you’ll find both the drama of a landscape with mountains to the tranquillity of a landscape with water covered in mist, each captured in moments of fleeting light.
This collection represents years spent exploring these regions on foot and in all conditions. I often camp to make the most of the rise and fall of the sun and moon over the landscape. Whether standing before a windswept clifftop or deep within an ancient beech woodland, my aim is always the same: to capture the emotion and quiet drama of the land as it reveals itself through light, season, and weather.
Much of my work begins in the early hours before sunrise, when the landscape is still and most are tucked up in bed. These are moments when fog drifts across valleys, tides shift along the coast, and I can capture the essence of the weather combined with this unique and diverse landscape.
Each image is printed to archival fine-art standards, offering exceptional detail, tonal depth, and longevity. Prints are available in A3, A2, or larger sizes, and hand-framed options are available, often crafted from reclaimed wood to create a unique, natural finish.
